Our Founder

Roderick J. Holloman established The Holloman Law Group, PLLC ("HLG") after separating from one of the largest law firms in the world. Mr. Holloman’s practice focuses on advising physicians of how to best structure their employment and partnership contracts. He has represented individual physicians and physician groups in matters involving physician employment contract disputes, multi-specialty and single-specialty physician group formation, physician practice sales, mergers and acquisitions, and antitrust violations. In advising of ways to avoid future disputes, he learned that the most effective way to shield his clients was through the careful negotiation and subsequent drafting of their contracts.

As the spouse of an interventional cardiologist, he is intimately familiar with the challenges physicians face. Through HLG, he regularly works to resolve the legal issues inherent in striking the balance between rendering quality patient care and adjusting to the economic challenges the healthcare industry faces, and those on the horizon.

A skilled negotiator, Mr. Holloman takes pride in his work and is passionate about representing the interests of his clients. It is this passion that has fueled and propelled HLG as one of the most well regarded boutique practices in country.

Mr. Holloman studied law at the Georgetown University Law Center and the Howard University School of Law. While in law school he was elected Class President, served as an Associate Editor of the Social Justice Law Review and Captain of the Trial Advocacy Moot Court Team. He is a two-time recipient of the Earl H. Davis Award and Scholarship, a Merit Scholarship recipient, and member of the Sigma Delta Tau Legal Fraternity, Inc. Roderick received his undergraduate degree in philosophy from Howard University where he graduated with honors.

Mr. Holloman is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and  is a member of The American Bar Association's Health Law Section, and The American Health Lawyers Association.  He is an active member of a number of civic and community organizations.
